Miniwell L610 Pump-Action Camping Water Filter

Miniwell L610 hand-pump Camping Water Filter is hardly larger than the palm of a hand, making it easy and convenient to carry. It is made to handle survival situations. It includes a long water inlet and a separate water outlet hose to pump water from shallow streams to deep rivers.

The triple-filtration system (Pre-Filter, Carbon Fiber, UF Filter) removes sediment, worms, bacteria (e.g. Salmonella, Cholera, Campylobacter, Shigella, E coli, etc), protozoa (e.g. Cryptosporidium, Giardia), parasites and viruses (e.g. Enteric, Hepatitis A, Norovirus, Rotavirus) from water. It also reduces the concentration of heavy metals like Lead, Mercury, Cadmium as well as unpleasant taste and odors.

Replaceable filters are available when a replacement is needed.

FAQ

Q. How often do I change my filter? How do I know it’s time to change the filter?

A. It depends on the quality of the water you are filtering.

The more contaminated the water, the shorter the life of the filter.

Miniwell suggests choosing renewable fresh water as a water source.

Don’t choose human and industrial wastewater as a water source.

Pre-filter: If the water flow slows down, please check if the pre-filter is clogged.

Please backwash the pre-filter.

If water flow is still slow even though you repeat backflushing a couple of times,

please change the filter.

Carbon fiber filter: If used continually for 12 months, the carbon fiber filter

may become less effective at absorbing tastes, odors, and heavy metals.

Miniwell suggests replacing the carbon fiber filter after 12 months.

UF filter: The UF filter will not allow water to flow when it reaches capacity.

If you find water flow slowing down or you can not get water out of the filter,

rinse or change the UF filter.

 

Q. How often should I clean and maintain the filter?

A. Miniwell suggests cleaning the filter with clean water after each use.

Before storing the filter, disassemble the components.

Use clean water to wash the parts and allow them to soak in vinegar as a disinfectant.

Allow the parts to air dry after cleaning before reassembling.

Store the filter in a cool and dry location.

(Note: Do not use vinegar on the carbon fiber filter as this will shorten its lifespan)

 

Q. Does it filter salt water?

A. No. Miniwell L610 filtration pore size on the membrane is 0.01 microns.

Dissolved salt passes through a 0.01 micron membrane.

This also means that the Miniwell L610 keeps minerals from natural

fresh water sources in filtered water.

    Отлично. Доставка в СПб за три дня с курьером, упаковка на пять, работоспособность на 5+. Для эксперимента прогнал через фильтр холодную прокипяченую воду – вкус реально улучшился, причем солидно.

    Additional Feedback

    Дополню результатом реальных полевых испытаний. Да, воду из озера фильтрует отлично, ни привкуса, ни цвета. Но на 8 литровый котелок ушло больше получаса – предфильтр пропускает воду ооочень медленно. Фильтрация гравитационным методом (сверху вниз под собственной тяжестью и не качая) вообще не пошла. Только насосом. Резюмируя: отфильтровать больше пары литров в походе – проблемно. Но на одного-двух человек – замечательно.
